Counterparts Series - Aries-Libra Axis
This is the first article from the series of articles on Zodiac Signs Counterparts. We will start with obvious combination of Aries and Libra Zodiac Signs.

Aries – Aries is the 1st sign of zodiac belt, so it represents the things and energy of 1st house of horoscope like Self, Personality etc. Besides that, Aries is the sign of our individuality, our aggression, our actions, our competitive ability etc. Aries is ruled by Mars and it is consisted of 2 and half Nakshatras named Ashwini, Bharani and Krittika.
Libra - Libra is the 7th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents the energy and things related with 7th house of horoscope, i.e. market place, business, partnerships, relations etc. Basically Libra is sign of relationships. Libra is consisted of another 2 and half Nakshatra named Chitra, Swati and Vishakha. Libra's lord is Venus.

Simple reason is that even empty houses represent an area of our life where we need to find the balance.
So, here is my understanding of Aries-Libra counterparts –
From Aries to Libra -
Aries – As we know that Aries is not only ruled by Mars but it is also Mool Trikon Sign of Mars. It is because Aries & Mars represent similar energy of Individuality, Uniqueness, Action, Ambition, Dominance, Control or even Aggression and Violence. So, the house where Aries falls in our chart, we can deal with that area of life in a very Aries or Martian ways. But the problem is that most of us are not aware of the fine-line distinction between Action/Ambition/Protection & Aggression/Violence/Control. When we start giving energy and attention to being Protective, we don’t even realize the point where we are not Protective but Intrusive. Likewise, when we start giving energy and attention to being Active or Ambitious, we don’t even realize the point where we are not Active but Aggressive.
It is great to seek your individuality or uniqueness, which are higher purposes of Aries but it is ugly to start dominating and controlling others in order to prove your superiority over them.
And who can tell us when we are committing any mistake. It is a person who is away/separate from us in every possible way. If I am committing any mistake then my Mother may not be able to realize it and convey it to me because of her attachment towards me. Although she is physically separate from me but not emotionally. In such case, only a person who is completely detached from me in every sense can tell me my mistake so that I can stop repeating it.
This is where we need to look for Guidance from the opposite or counterpart of Aries; i.e. Libra.
Libra – It is sign of Balance, Justice, Peace, Relationship. Now, Libra is also Mool Trikon Sign of Venus which represents Relationship, Peace and Service/Devotion again. Hence, whenever we are crossing boundaries in Aries related activities (Action, Ambition, Dominance, Control or even Aggression and Violence), we can look at Libra for guidance and try to strike Balance, Peace and Justifiability in our behavior.
What I meant to say that such guidance comes to us from Universe one way or the other or through one person or the other which can be represented by Libra/Venus/House involved. These people, situations or omens/indications will come to us and tell us that we are crossing limits in some areas of life and we should learn how to remain within boundaries. Even in cases of hardcore criminals who have committed horrific crimes, they also got guidance or warnings from their parents, friends and law enforcement authorities to stay away from encroaching any boundaries. Final big event happens only when we ignore all these omens and indications given to us and we continue to give energy and attention to lower representations of Aries/Mars type activities. This is where Libra can bring guidance for Aries.
From Libra to Aries -
Libra - But then drawback of Libra-end is that we can become too much inclined towards other people, relationship and service/devotion. This is where we lose ourselves and our own individuality/uniqueness and we can even surrender ourselves at the mercy of other. We all know that such situation can easily come into relationship matters where one person is scared of letting-go of their partner and then other partner gets chance to manipulate or control.
Aries - This is where Aries-end can bring some help in form of guidance and indications through life situations where we can be guided to not to let-go of our individuality in order to manage a relationship. The biggest misconception about a balanced relationship is that a person needs to compromise or adjust in relationship all the time to sustain it. There cannot be a worse foundation than this for a manipulating or abusive relationship where only one person goes on cooperating in all situations. Understand a Balanced Relationship like a Tight Rope tied at two separate poles. It has to be tight from both ends. Even if it becomes lose from one end, it cannot be tight rope anymore. Likewise, even if one person starts compromising more in relation then it is no more a balanced relationship.
This is where Aries sign brings the guidance to stick with individuality and uniqueness in order to sustain a balanced relationship.
Conclusion - So, things which we need to focus on at the axis of Aries-Libra in our chart are Individuality, Uniqueness, Action, Balance, Service and Devotion. In short, we can say that we need to focus on higher qualities of Aries and Libra Signs to maintain the balance of energies between them.
