Saturn Transit in Capricorn from Jan, 2020 to Jan, 2023

So, the biggest of all transits is about to happen. Saturn will enter into Capricorn from its current position of Sagittarius on 24th Jan, 2020 where it will remain till 17th Jan, 2023. During this time, Saturn will enter in Aquarius sign between 29th April, 2022 to 12th July, 2022 to give us glimpse of its next transit but besides these 2.5 months period, it is largely going to be a Saturn in Capricorn transit. Like this, Saturn will complete its about 2.5 years transit in Capricorn on 17th Jan, 2023.


In every sign, Saturn transits for about 2.5 years. It is the longest duration of transit among all visible planets. Hence, Saturn MD/AD and transits are known to bring the biggest changes in life. We all can go back in our memories to verify this fact. Like, in my case, my 1st career change came when I had Saturn Return. During my last Saturn AD, I started studying astrology seriously. Then, as I am Scorpio Ascendant, transit of Saturn in Scorpio from Nov, 2014 made me realize my true life path (ascendant) in astrology. So, always pay major attention at Saturn during Dashas and Transits.

Now, there are planets which have bigger transits like Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Their transits in a sign take from 7 years up to 15 years, but as they are invisible planets, they are not used to see the predictions of visible events like Marriage, Child Birth etc. It means they can be utilized to see the invisible events like Spiritual Awakening, Destruction of Ego and Realizing your true self. As these are events which happen inside us and not visible to world, they can be seen and predicted from position and transits of invisible planets like Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.


Anyways, Saturn is known to bring changes in life, but it only brings change when you are on wrong path to bring you back to right path. Two examples I can give here. Shri Sachin Tendulkar must have gone through few Saturn AD and all important Saturn transits over his Ascendant, Moon, Sun, Saturn Return and 10th house, but it never changed his life path of being a sports person because he was on right life path. Another example, Shri Amitabh Bachchan changed his career twice. 1st in 1984 when he tried to be a politician and then in 1995 when he tried to be a businessman. During the same Saturn transits, in which he tried to change his career, he was forced back by Saturn to movies as it was his right life path. So, we can say that Saturn brings change in life path and career only when you are on wrong path. So, the best thing you can do during any Saturn Transits, especially over Ascendant, Sun, Moon, Saturn Return, 10th house etc, is not to resist. Just be ready to change as Saturn wants you to change and let’s see where Saturn leads you finally. It’s not that by resisting change, you will be able to make any difference but it is just that by not resisting, transformation will be easy. If someone wants to know if he is under Saturn’s impact or not then well, if you are alive and breathing then yeas, you are under Saturn’s impact as Saturn itself represents Time which we are living in this world.


Now, let’s see all the important factors attached with this transit of Saturn in Capricorn –


Saturn’s current transit in Sagittarius – First of all, we should check if Saturn’s current transit in Sagittarius (https://www.astrosaxena.com/sat17) has given us results in last 2.5 years or not because if we got results of Saturn’s transit in Sagittarius then we will also be getting results of Saturn in Capricorn transit. As discussed in above article, as Sagittarius is sign of higher education, there was a focus on education and learning during this transit. As it is sign of beliefs and Saturn remains the most malefic planet, we have seen rise in fundamentalism and people ready to be even violent for what they believe in. At personal level, Saturn was in my 2nd house of wealth and family lineage and as Saturn represents limitation, there was very limited savings during this transit more so because our focus as family was on the home loan to be paid-off ASAP. Current Saturn-Ketu transit during this year further intensified the energy of Saturn and I got Cervical Spondylitis (bone and neck related illness) and it had its contribution in recent demise of my grandfather which disconnected me from the family lineage I belonged too. Besides these, I was full time busy with consultations which is again represented by Saturn in Sagittarius.


So, we can see that Saturn transit in Sagittarius has given results at mundane and at personal level, at least for me. During consultations, I have seen it giving results to many of my clients and of course I can’t share their experiences here. Hence, we can expect Saturn in Capricorn to bring its results for all of us, as we are going to discuss them in this article.


Saturn - Saturn is all that which we don't like in our life. Saturn is Delay, Frustration, Restriction, Limitation and Anxiety. It is Delay, Perseverance, Hard-work and Labour. It is people of Authority, like Boss at your work place or Father at home. Saturn is our challenges and biggest lessons of life. Saturn is Old-age, Teeth/Bones in human body, Diseases, Transformation etc. Saturn is Discipline, Organisation, Structure, Government, Law & Order etc.


Capricorn - Capricorn is the 10th sign of Zodiac Belt, hence it represents many things related with 10th house of horoscope like Law and Order, Government, Authority, Organisation, Discipline etc. Besides it also represents World outside your home and people, Fear and Anxiety etc. Capricorn is consisted of next 2 and half Nakshatra, i.e. Uttar-Ashadha, Shravana and Dhanishtha. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and that's why it represents Fear and Anxiety.

Saturn in Capricorn and understanding Saturn – Saturn will be in own sign. Hence dignity-wise, it is very strong as any planet in own sign is like any person in his own home, feeling safe and secured. But the biggest mistake we can do in interpreting Saturn is to attach “good or beneficial” word while interpreting Saturn. This is one of the biggest confusion and kind of dream given by astrologers to people. As Saturn represents challenges, changes and difficulties on its “OWN”, it will represent same things in any house, any sign or any chart. Best way to understand Saturn is to understand it as polar opposite of Venus. Venus represents our conveniences. So, Saturn will represent our inconveniences. Just like, Venus is beneficial in any house, any sign or in any chart (at least in matters of non-living significances), likewise, Saturn will be malefic and bring misery in any house, any sign or in any chart. Another way to understand Saturn is through mythology where Saturn was discarded by father-mother and un-loved by siblings. Now, you can give to others what you have. As Saturn only received suffering from others, it can give only suffering to others. In a way, it is easiest to interpret Saturn because its results are always going to bring challenges, difficulties and hardships to people. In signs like Aries, Cancer, Leo and Scorpio, it can become more challenging but it can never become less challenging or convenient for us. At the same time, Saturn is the only one planet which wants us to become perfect and legend in our field. Saturn represents repetitive efforts and perseverance. So, it wants us to pick one work and do it so repetitively over the longest period of time that we should become perfect at it. This is the only benefit of Saturn that it has the potential to make us legend. Last but not the least, another illusion spread is that Saturn matures at 35 and it becomes mild after that. Well, Saturn is already matured as it is in sky for God knows how many years, it just that we become matured after 35 and start understanding and co-operating with Saturn energy in a better way. So, if someone is immature at 50 then Saturn can still bring its harsh results and if someone is mature at 20 then Saturn can still be mild. So, what matters is maturity of person and not of Saturn.


As I see, following results will be apparent as Saturn transits into Capricorn –

  • First of all, we are going to learn the lesson of being organised, structured and hard working. Saturn will put us in circumstances where we need to be very disciplined, organized and practical in life and then only we can expect some benefits to come from this Saturn’s transit.
  • Then Capricorn is also sign of hard work which Saturn also represents. So, we can expect to get into situations where we can’t escape from situations of putting our best efforts with perseverance.
  • Then Capricorn is sign of authority and recognition. So, this transit can bring authority and recognition but above two conditions are primary. Whoever is putting his best efforts with perseverance and in an organized manner, is going to get the rewards from Saturn eventually in shape of authority and recognition.
  • At the same time, Capricorn also represents Governments and Authority Figures. As Saturn represents challenges, governments and authority figures around the world can face challenges. Preparation of impeachment of US President can only be the beginning of many such matters to come in future.
  • Authority Figures at job setup can also be under similar type of challenge or stress.
  • Capricorn is sign of Law also. Saturn going in Capricorn can bring some challenges to Law which in turn can bring some major changes in Law. Governments and Law Agencies can see a revolt from people and may be forced to change their ways.
  • In personal life, if Saturn is going to impact your relationship oriented houses or planets then relationship can sustain only on the ground of practicality and realistic approach. Dream romance may not work here. Maintaining a long distance relationship during this transit is not a bad idea in such cases.
  • So, challenges and changes will be there during this transit too but whosoever is facing those challenges heads-on that person can receive some benefits from this transit.

Transit Period – As I said, Saturn will enter into Capricorn from its current position of Sagittarius on 24th Jan, 2020 where it will remain till 17th Jan, 2023. During this time, Saturn will enter in Aquarius sign between 29thApril, 2022 to 12th July, 2022 to give us glimpse of its next transit but besides these 2.5 months period, it is largely going to be a Saturn in Capricorn transit. Like this, Saturn will complete its about 2.5 years transit in Capricorn on 17th Jan, 2023.

Saturn Retrograde – During these 3 years, Saturn will retrograde 3 times. These are –

  • May, 2020 to Sep, 2020.
  • May, 2021 to Oct, 2021. and
  • June, 2022 to Oct, 2022.

As Saturn represents our duties and commitments in this world, when Saturn retrogrades, we tend to reflect back on our duties and commitments. These will be the time period when we will question our work and commitment in life. Again, if we are on wrong path, we will switch the path but if we are on right path, we will continue on it. Also, as retrograde planets are closer to Earth, we will see these results of Saturn with higher intensity. Retrogrades are actually time during the year when we are forced to take actions over things which we were neglecting/ignoring over long period of time.

Saturn Return – People born between March 21, 1990 to March 5, 1993 will go through their Saturn Return (http://astrosaxena.com/satreturn). Likewise, people who are around 58-60 years of age and 88-90 years of age will have their 2nd and 3rd Saturn Return respectively.

Sadhe Sati – First phase of 2.5 years of Sadhe Sati (https://www.astrosaxena.com/ssdt) will start for people born with Moon in Aquarius. Middle phase of 2.5 years of Sadhe Sati will start for people born with Moon in Capricorn, which is actually the most impactful 2.5 years from the whole Sadhe Sati as Saturn goes directly over Moon and brings stress. Last phase of 2.5 years of Sadhe Sati will start for people born with Moon in Sagittarius.

Dhaiya – Many people also take Saturn’s Dhaiya (https://www.astrosaxena.com/ssdt) in consideration. This is when Saturn transits 4th house/sign or 8th house/sign from birth moon sign. As always, it shows the transit of changes. So, people born with Moon in Gemini and Moon in Libra will go through their Dhaiya Transits.

Benefic Transit – More or less every Saturn transit brings stress and changes related to the sign and house involved. Even when it was in Libra, between 2011 to 2014, a sign of relationships where it is exalted, it caused many break-ups and divorces. But during my study and research, I have come to know that whenever Saturn transits 3rd house, 6th house and 11th house from birth Moon sign, it brings something new in life, like some new interest, skills and hobbies. If we can cling on to these things and work on those skills then it can be useful during other transits when Saturn goes through other houses from Moon. It means those skills will help you in earning or gains if you could cling to them. Like, for Scorpio, Leo and Pisces Moon sign people, Saturn will be transiting in 3rd house, 6th house or 11th house respectively. Hence, it will bring some new knowledge, talent, skills to these people which can be nurtured, and with time, people can take benefit out of it, Like, I started learning Astrology when Saturn was in Libra, 6th house from my birth Moon sign Taurus. I could somehow understand it and could cling on to it, which helped me during Saturn’s transit into Scorpio. So, at every transit, these planets want to prepare us for the next level in life. But again, things will happen as per Saturn’s nature, i.e, hard work, perseverance and structure.

Other important transits – Besides these, if Saturn is transiting over Ascendant, i.e. if you are Capricorn Ascendant, or Saturn is transiting over Sun then it is equally important transit.

Houses – Now, Saturn will transit in Capricorn but for every ascendant Saturn rules different houses and hence takes shape of planet ruling a different area of life. Like, for Aries Ascendant, Saturn rules 10th house (Capricorn) & 11th house (Aquarius), hence Saturn is Career & Income related planet for Aries people but for Cancer Ascendant, Saturn rules 7th house (Capricorn) and 8th house (Aquarius), so it becomes a relationship centric planet for Cancer Ascendant. Also, Saturn will be in different house in every birth chart. So, during this Saturn transit, not only we need to work hard and take responsibilities related to Capricorn nature, as discussed above, and the house it is transiting but also we will see results of things related to the houses Saturn rules and house where it sits in a chart. We need to keep in mind where Capricorn and Aquarius falls from a certain Ascendant or Moon sign.

Saturn’s Aspects – Now, important thing is not to forget the aspects of Saturn. Besides the normal 7th house aspect, Saturn also has 3rd house and 10th house aspect. So, during transit too, Saturn will aspect at these 3 houses from the house it sits. Let’s see, what these 3 aspects mean –

  • 3rd house – As 3rd house is house of Efforts and Actions, Saturn’s 3rd aspect shows where we need to put extra effort and take actions as per birth chart or during a transit like this, as the case may be.
  • 7th house – Saturn’s 7th aspect as per the birth chart or during transit, as the case may be, shows where we feel that we have got limited results and we need to show patience to get its results.
  • 10th house – As 10th house relates to Duties and Responsibilities, Saturn’s 10th aspect shows where we need to perform our duties and responsibilities as per birth chart or during a transit, as the case may be.

Dashas – As Saturn’s transit is 2.5 years long, it really doesn’t matter whether you are under Saturn Dasha or not. Saturn will catch you at any time during this period, but yes if someone is under Saturn dasha then things will be much more intense.

Nakshatra – During this transit, Saturn will transit over all 3 nakshatras of Capricorn, i.e. Uttara Ashadha, Sravana and Dhanishtha. Saturn will be putting its limitation, delay and hard work factor over the things represented by these nakshatras. 


Planet in Capricorn – Now, if someone has planet in Capricorn in birth chart then results related to that planet will also be seen during this transit as Saturn will be going back and forth over that planet. Any time transiting planet going over birth chart planet is indication of concrete events happening. Like, I have 3 planets in Capricorn and I am expecting Saturn transit in Capricorn as an eventful one for me.


Other Transits and Joint Impacts – Then we also need to take care of transits of other planets and joint impacts they may make with Saturn. Like, Saturn was in Sagittarius from 2017 but we saw its results with the highest intensity during this year when Saturn was joined by Ketu in Sagittarius. Likewise, we need to keep an eye on various different transits of other planets over next 3 years and what combinations they are making with Saturn. This is something which we can cover periodically when such transits happen. Everything can’t be covered in 1 article. As I see for 2020, 2 major transits to look for in combination with Saturn in Capricorn is when Jupiter will join Saturn in Capricorn between April, 2020 to June, 2020 then between Nov, 2020 to April, 2021 and then Saturn-Rahu joint impact on the sign of Libra as they both will aspect there between Jan, 2020 to Sep, 2020.

Aries Ascendant or Aries Moon Sign – For Aries people, Saturn rules 10th house of Career, Fame and Father & 11th house of Income & Gains. Saturn will be transiting in 10th house of Career, Status and Father. A transit which will be totally focused on Career and Work. They can be required to put extra effort and show perseverance at their work. There can be changes and challenges in matters of career or authority. They can have stress around authority figures, may it be at home or at office. As 10th house also relates with Father, this transit can keep them away from father or it can bring some health issues or other concerns to father. Their own public image can be at stake and they may need to work really hard to keep up with expectations of others. A change in career or work can be on cards. Also, Saturn aspects 7th house, which is seen for relation as well as Career & Father (being Bhavat Bhavam of 10th), it shows that this transit will be more focused on Career, Father and Relations. They can find themselves very hard working.

Taurus Ascendant or Taurus Moon Sign – For Taurus people, Saturn rules 9th house of Higher Learning, Gurus, Law, Religion & Philosophy & 10th house of Career, Fame and Father. Saturn will be transiting in 9th house of Higher Learning, Gurus, Law, Religion & Philosophy. It can be a transit where person can be inclined towards his Higher Learning and Higher Education. They can also be focused on reading about Religions and Philosophies. They will be interested in taking far distant travels, more in nature of pilgrimages and meeting people of different cultures or educating themselves in matters of career. Person may find an old and wise Guru. Person will even question his Teachers, various Religions and Philosophies. That may lead to stressful situations but it is still worth having such questions and stress as long as none is becoming fundamentalist. Education taken during this time will help him grow his career and income during Saturn’s next transit in Aquarius. At the same time, 9th house is 12th from 10th house. So, it is also a house of loss of career and authority. It shows some stress around authority figures at work including some problems with father at home. Not a good time for career in job setup and they may have some continues challenges there.


Gemini Ascendant or Gemini Moon Sign – For Gemini people, Saturn rules 8th house of Occult, Mysteries and Sudden Events & 9th house of Higher Learning, Gurus, Law, Religion & Philosophy. Saturn will be transiting in 8th house of Occult, Mysteries and Sudden Events. Here, person will be focussed on higher learning of Occult, Mysticism and Hidden Sciences. As 9th house lord is going through 8th house, this may be a situation where due to a sudden event, person’s belief might change. A sudden event can also bring his Guru. Career and Life Path are surely going to be transformed/changed especially when Jupiter also joins Saturn in Capricorn as stated above. Father’s health may remain a concern. Person may take care while driving and travelling as 8th house relates to Accidents. Great time for higher studies of Occult, Stock Market and Surgeries or any research oriented subjects, in case person is interested in such fields. Cancer Ascendant or Cancer Moon Sign – For Cancer people, Saturn rules 7th house of Marriage, Spouse and Business & 8th house of Occult, Mysteries and Sudden Events. Saturn will be transiting in 7th house of Marriage, Spouse and Business. Whenever Saturn transits into 7th house from Ascendant or Moon, it brings stressful situations in relations and make person focus on his relation and spouse. Same thing can be said about Business and Partnerships. So, this will be time when person will be focused on relationship matters, either new or maintaining the existing one, and they should try to accommodate as much as possible. They may have ego clashes with partner and again, either you can keep your ego or you can keep your relation. It also shows that some sudden events may impact relationship; hence they should be aware and careful while travelling or interacting with spouse. Again, it would be a good suggestion to maintain a long distance relationship for the time being. This transit can make them inclined towards business too.


Leo Ascendant or Leo Moon Sign – For Leo people, Saturn rules 6th house of Daily Work Routine, Disputes, Diseases and Obstacles & 7th house of Marriage, Spouse and Business. Saturn will be transiting in 6th house of Daily Work Routine, Disputes, Diseases and Obstacles. It seems ideal time for a Lawyer :)) . Their focus will move out of relationship and they will focus on dealing their daily work life. They may face some stress at their work or with people at work. It is not a good transit for relationship as they may have some disputes and conflicts coming up. Again, they need to accommodate as much as possible and it would be a good suggestion to maintain a long distance relationship for the time being. Certainly not a good time to start a new relationship. They also need to take good care of their health. Their focus would be dealing with diseases, disputes and obstacles. As Saturn represents Father Figure and it rules 7th house of Spouse too, there can be some health issues to Father & Spouse. In a more positive way, it can be a situation where you are required to stay away from your spouse because of various reasons, which can be good too, like travelling due to job etc. Great time to educate yourself in Medicines, Law and Job related matters/courses.


Virgo Ascendant or Virgo Moon Sign – For Virgo people, Saturn rules 5th house of Education, Romance and Creativity & 6th house of Daily Work Routine, Disputes, Diseases and Obstacles. Saturn will be transiting in 5th house of Education, Romance and Creativity. When Saturn comes into 5th house of Romance & Education, either in birth chart or transit, Romance takes a back seat & person will be more focussed on Education. So, this is a great time for educating yourself in your field of interests. It also shows someone taking debt/loan for education. It may even be loan for education of children. Those who have children can be focused on children. This time can bring relationship too but relation will be more an on/off type and will bring more stress than joy. It will be a cold romance. As Saturn also rules 6th house of Disputes, it shows disputes or obstacles keep coming in Love Matters. Ideally, this time should be used to focus on Education. It can also indicate a change in Career as 5th house is 8th from 10th house, transformation in career matters.


Libra Ascendant or Libra Moon Sign – For Libra people, Saturn rules 4th house of Home, Mother and Peace of Mind & 5th house of Education, Romance and Creativity. Saturn will be transiting in 4th house of Home, Mother & Peace of Mind. This can be a period of gain of house property or any other real estate property as Saturn itself represents construction. Focus will remain on Mother and Home. It can also show diseases or illness to Mother, in which case proper care should be taken. They would love to stay at home or with Mother but as Saturn represents long distances, it can send them away from mother, home or home land. Even if they are at home, it can bring some stress in home or with mother. They may lose interest in love matters or their children may go away from them as 4th house is 12thfrom 5th house. They may lose their peace of mind. They will be more peaceful away from their home land.


Scorpio Ascendant or Scorpio Moon Sign – For Scorpio people, Saturn rules 3rd house of Communication, Travels, Efforts, Actions and Business & 4th house of Home, Mother and Peace of Mind. Saturn will be transiting in 3rd house of Communication, Travels, Efforts, Actions and Business. This shows that they will be interested in collecting information and work hard on business, communication and counselling. They will travel far away from their home land. Their focus will turn away from Home to places away from home, so travelling will be frequent. They will start working on a possible business venture. They will focus on their own hobbies and skills. Things/Events related with younger siblings will also remain focus due to stress or illness to them. They can go away from their younger sibling. They need to be careful while travelling and driving as Saturn remains the most malefic planet. As 3rd house remains the house of efforts, this is a transit of putting best effort with perseverance then only any good result can be expected.


Sagittarius Ascendant or Sagittarius Moon Sign – For Sagittarius people, Saturn rules 2nd house of Wealth, Speech and Family & 3rd house of Communication, Travels, Efforts, Actions and Business. Saturn will be transiting in 2nd house of Wealth, Speech and Family. So, they will be focussed on saving wealth and taking care of family matters. As Saturn rules 3rd house, it shows that wealth can come from their self efforts. They need to device new ways and work very hard in saving wealth. Actually, 2nd house of Wealth & 3rd house of Investments are interlinked for them, so they need to find out new investment ways to safeguard their wealth. Spendthrift nature must be avoided at any cost else they can even face lack of wealth during this transit. There can be stress in family setup, may be due to some illness. Overall, focus will be Family and Wealth. As Saturn will be 8th from 7th house, their relationship life may go through a change or instability.


Capricorn Ascendant or Capricorn Moon Sign – For Capricorn people, Saturn rules 1st house of Self & Life Path & 2nd house of Wealth, Speech and Family. Saturn will be transiting in 1st house of Self & Life Path. Nothing more to say then transformation in Life Path if you are on wrong life path. Focus will be lost from all areas of life and will be centred at Self. They would want to know why they are here in this world and what is their true life path. As Saturn directly aspects 7th house of Marriage, it shows clear stress in relationships and partners would have to show realistic and practical nature to sustain marriage. As such, their focus will again revert back from marriage and family to themselves. They would like to travel far and away from place of birth and it is a big possibility that by the time Saturn leaves Capricorn, they, their life, life path and career, all will be changed as they will find their true life path. A really good awakening transit for them. A time of new meaningful beginning in life especially when Jupiter also joins Saturn in 1st house.  At the same time, they need to take care of wealth and health related matters.


Aquarius Ascendant or Aquarius Moon Sign – For Aquarius people, Saturn rules 1st house of Self & Life Path & 12th house of Foreign Lands, Spirituality, Losses and Closures. Saturn will be transiting in 12th house of Foreign Lands, Spirituality, Losses and Closures. Whenever Saturn transits 12th house, it is closing time. So, understand like this. As Saturn moves each house of chart during different transits, it blocks/delays some results of each house. Then when it goes into 12th house, it releases those results which can be given. Balance sheet tallies and all pending matters get closed, so that when Saturn enters into Ascendant during next transit, a new beginning can be made. So, this transit will see them working on all pending matters. Those which are supposed to be accomplished, will give results. Those which are not supposed to work-out will be considered as closed. Additionally, they will be highly interested in Spirituality. They will travel or relocate to Foreign Lands. They may shift their Family to Foreign Lands. Pisces Ascendant or Pisces Moon Sign – For Pisces people, Saturn rules 11th house of Gains, Desires and Income & 12th house of Foreign Lands, Spirituality, Losses and Closures. Saturn will be transiting in 11th house of Gains, Desires and Income. This will be a transit where they will be focused on making good gains and income as they may feel lack of resources. They will be focused of their elder siblings due to some stress or illnesses, if any. They will have to work hard so that they can earn and gain more in their ventures, as 11th house also relate with Entrepreneurship. There will be no easy gains. 11th house also relates with Large Organizations. They can also relocate to a new place as 11th house is 8th from 4th house, i.e. change in home. One day while cleaning the idols, one of them had fallen and got broken. King was informed. King was furious and ordered the servant to be imprisoned. He said that if war takes place within a week then he is going to hang the servant.

As predicted, a neighboring Kingdom attacked this Kingdom within a week. The King ordered the hanging of servant but asked him any last wish he had. Servant said that he wants to break the 2nd idol too because 1 fine day that idol will get broken by someone else and you will hang that person too.

King asked, I didn't understand your point?

Servant replied that basically you didn't understand the Sage himself. Sage wanted to say that the day idol gets broken, you must start preparing for war. It is not that war is happening because of breaking of idol. Breaking of idol was an indication that someone is preparing to attack you, so you must begin your preparation".

And this is what astrology is all about. Your upcoming dasha or transit is only indicating you towards start working in a particular area of life before it gets completely screwed. Like being a Scorpio ascendant, Saturn was transiting 2nd house of wealth for me and this awareness made me to arrange my finances in a better way from last 2 years. As I was prepared, this transit is not impacting much to me but if I had been spendthrift in last 2 years or mismanaged my money then I would have had issues now.

So, this is the whole purpose of astrology, to make you aware, prepared and pro-active for upcoming times of life, either good or bad.

As always, receptivity, awareness and pro-active approach are the only 3 remedies.
