Transit of Rahu in Capricorn, 2026

Rahu Transit in Capricorn from Dec, 2026 to June, 2028.

We are entering a phase of important and long term transits of the planets and one of the important transits is Nodes transit from Dec, 2026 onwards. So, let’s begin with understanding this Nodal Transits with Rahu’s transit in Capricorn. 

Normally, it is like a ritual to study Rahu & Ketu together in birth chart or during transit, but I write separate articles for Rahu and Ketu each, just to have a detailed and descriptive look at both transits. Also, there will be quite a few joint impacts which Nodes will create along with other planets in remainder of the year. We need to see impacts of those transits through separate articles. So, Rahu will transit into the sign of Capricorn on Dec, 2026. So, let’s have a look at how this transit is going to impact human life on Earth on the basis of following points –

Transit Period – Rahu will move into Capricorn on Nov 25, 2026 as per the True Nodes & on Dec 5, 2026 as per Mean Nodes. Rahu will remain in Capricorn till May 24, 2028 as per True Nodes and till June 23, 2028 as per the Mean Nodes So, it is transit of almost 18 months which is a good enough time to make some events happen in our life. Again, it is never only one planet which causes the event. So, this article must be read along with other updates on transits I post at various times. 

True Node Vs Mean Node – First of all, there are mainly 2 ways of calculating the transits of Rahu and Ketu. They are known as True Nodes and Mean Nodes. As per True Nodes calculations, Rahu and Ketu will change signs on Nov 25, 2026 but as per Mean Nodes they will change signs on Dec 5, 2026. I am not going into debate of which one is more correct as the difference between the two is less than 1 degree. So, follow whichever fits your understanding. In case, someone is willing to experiment and find out as to which Nodes System work better for them then please pay attention that time-gap between transits of True Nodes Vs Mean Nodes is about 10 days. In this time, people can observe if they are getting more results of Rahu in Capricorn or Rahu in Aquarius. Likewise, they can observe if they are getting more results of Ketu in Cancer or Ketu in Leo. So, this 10 days’ time can give us opportunity to find out which Nodes System is working for us. 

Rahu’s Last Transit – Let’s 1st see how Rahu’s transit in Aquarius manifested in last 18 months. Aquarius is sign of new technology, serving humanity and entrepreneurship etc. One major impact on our life had happened in last 18 months is advent of AI. AI has come forward leaps and bounces in our life. Right now, our almost whole life is ruled by technology and AI. At personal level, Rahu was transiting my 4th house/Aquarius which improved my home life and relation with Mother due to Osho’s influence. I was more introvert during all 18 months. Although my reach among people continued to enhance through my work but I reduced my personal communications to the minimum. So, professionally I grew but personally I contracted myself. 

As Rahu in Aquarius brought its results in our lives, either individually or collectively, there is every possibility that upcoming Rahu in Capricorn transit will also give its results, which we are trying to find out through this article.

Now, Rahu, Capricorn and Rahu in Capricorn. 

Rahu - Rahu represents illusion, foreign lands, foreign things, Drugs, Medicines, any type of intoxication, fame, wealth, success, obsession, past-life left-over karma, movies, television, online world, cheating, imagined fears, unusual things, unique things, creativity, rule breaker. Rahu also blows things out of proportions. 

During transit, Rahu is basically that obsessive energy which makes us gravitate towards the things related to house/sign where Rahu is transiting in next 18 months. 

Capricorn - Capricorn is the 10th sign of Zodiac Belt, hence it represents many things related with 10th house of horoscope like Law and Order, Government, Authority, Organisation, Discipline etc. Besides it also represents World outside your home and people, Fear and Anxiety etc. Capricorn is consisted of next 2 and half Nakshatra, i.e. Uttar-Ashadha/Abhijit, Abhijit/Shravana and Dhanishtha. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and that's why it represents Fear and Anxiety.

One thing we have to remember with Rahu through Signs is that Rahu converts himself as the lord of the sign it is sitting in and then amplifies quality of lord. So, when Rahu is in Capricorn for next 1.5 years, Rahu will take all the qualities of Saturn (Lord of Aquarius and Capricorn) and then will amplify those qualities out of limit. Rahu also does same to the planet it is sitting with. Like, if Rahu is with Saturn then it will take all the qualities of Saturn and blow them out of proportion during Rahu MD or Saturn MD. It is always better to have Rahu alone in a house rather than conjunct with a planet. Ideal placement for Rahu is to sit with an exalted benefic planet then it takes all the qualities of the exalted planet and amplifies them. 

In general, we can expect following results with Rahu transiting in Capricorn – 

As I see, it is always easier to interpret malefic planets as they seldom change their basic nature. They are supposed to bring difficulties in our lives and bring situations where we are required to work hard. The end result is that after facing those difficult situations, we realize our true potential. Even when Mars is exalted or Saturn is exalted then it is not that they are going to let-go of their basic nature which is malefic and which makes us work hard towards our ambitions with perseverance.

Simplest way to interpret any planetary position or transit is by looking at the nature of sign or nakshatra and nature of planet involved. So, we need to combine Rahu’s nature with Capricorn nature.

First way to interpret this transit can be that you can go back in your memory of the time when Rahu was last time in Capricorn; i.e. in 2008-09, and try to remember what events took place in your life then? Rahu in Capricorn again can bring similar events in our lives now. 

Rahu blows our desires out of proportion and Capricorn is ruled by Saturn which represents limitations. So, it creates a situation where a person can have lots of expectations and desires during this time but very less results. End-result is frustration. Hence, this transit can also test our patience. 

Capricorn is the sign of authority, recognition and fame. Rahu represents obsession. So, this can be a time when people might want to gain authority and recognition in their life; either personal or professional. 

So, we can see a lot of push and pull between people holding the authority and people who are claiming to be the next authority. 

At global level, it can be a time of resentment and rebellion against Govts. 

At personal level also, there will be a tug of war due to authority, recognition and fame.

If people have started their entrepreneurship during Rahu in Aquarius transit then during Rahu in Capricorn transit they can see success coming to them.

So, people can be achieving authority and recognition in the area of life where Capricorn falls in chart but as Saturn rules Capricorn, that achievement can only come after immense hard work and perseverance. 

As during Rahu transit in Capricorn, Saturn will also change its sign in Aries where it is debilitated, it shows that need of hard work and perseverance will be further more during that time. 

As Rahu represents Foreign Lands, it shows possibilities of gaining authority and recognition in foreign lands or through foreign lands. 

As Rahu also represents illusion, this transit can also create an illusion of authority to someone. 

This also shows that people can cheat or deceive others in order to gain authority and recognition. 

It can also indicate that someone has just become authoritative by nature; i.e. Bossy. 

We are already living in a world which is filled with misinformation and misrepresentation. Rahu in Capricorn can further blow it out of proportions. So, people can present themselves as authoritative people and can cheat others. 

We also need to be careful against frauds, deceptions and misinformation spread by Govts or authority figures at global level. 

We can also see misinformation being spread by Govts through social media, news media and other sources of information. So, we should double-triple check something before believing or disbelieving in any information we are served. 

It is always better to think that what is the benefit of person who is serving us information, if we believe in him. That will save you from many great troubles. 

Rahu in Capricorn also means that Ketu is in Cancer. As Cancer is sign of Emotions and Ketu is separation, this also indicates that people can be devoid of feelings and emotions which can push them to go towards cut-throat competition of Capricorn. 

Better utilization of this transit will be in delegating authority and empowering others through such delegation. 

And as I said, this transit can create best environment for us to be most aware and conscious. Universe functions in paradoxical ways. Times of Wars make us realize the importance of Peace. Times of lack of something makes us realize the importance of abundance. Likewise, times of great illusions worldwide can be the best opportunity to keep our eyes wide open, which can be the best use of this transit. 

Now, in whichever house Rahu is transiting in your birth chart in Capricorn sign, things and people related to that house can become a reason behind authority, recognition or illusion, as the case may be. 

House Co-ruled by Rahu – Rahu co-rules Aquarius sign with Saturn. So, Rahu is transiting in 12th sign from its own sign. This can indicate a loss or sense of loss regarding the house related things where Aquarius falls in chart. 

As Rahu remains a malefic energy and other lord of Capricorn is another malefic planet Saturn, effectively we will get results in combined ways of Rahu and Saturn; i.e. after putting best of efforts and after obsessively pursuing something. But the actual event is based on chart + dasha + transit. So, just because of 1 transit, we can’t say what event is going to happen. 

Rahu’s Natal Position – Rahu’s position in birth chart is very much important here. It will show the overall strength of Rahu in your chart. To know the real strength of Rahu, we need to also check the dignity of planets it is sitting with in birth chart and also the dignity of sign lord. This is what we are born with as potential and as we go through life, we are supposed to improve on that potential. 

Dasha – As always, someone going through Rahu MD/AD will feel the full impact of transit. Others will also see some of the results as transit duration of 18 months is long enough to impact the human life. 

Nodes Return – Those who are born with Rahu in Capricorn in birth chart will also see full results, regardless of dasha, as it is an important transit of Rahu going over Rahu. Age of Individual – Results of malefic planets also depend on the age of person as they become mild after attaining maturity age. Rahu’s maturity age is 42 years. Planets Transiting through Capricorn – During the same transit of Rahu in Capricorn, other planets like Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars will transit through Aquarius in due course. Also, Jupiter will aspect Rahu from Cancer in transit. So, all these planets will impact and get impacted by Rahu in Capricorn. 

Rahu transiting over Nakshatras – Last but not the least, Rahu transiting over each nakshatra will give results of that nakshatra related things. 

First of all, Rahu will be transiting in Dhanishtha Nakshatra. This can be more beneficial in materialistic pursuits. 

Then Rahu will transit through Abhijit/Sravana Nakshatra and this can be time when counselling, consulting and real-estate related activities will be on a high. 

Then Rahu will be in Uttara Ashadha/Abhijit Nakshatra. Here, people can be very ambitious and looking for high authority and recognition. 

We will see results of Rahu’s transit in these Nakshatras as and when they take place during this whole transit. 

Jeeva Karaka & Ajeeva Karaka - As Rahu is changing itself as Saturn in Saturn’s sign Capricorn and Saturn remains the most malefic planet which gives any result after delay, hard work and perseverance only, the concept of Jeeva Karaka & Ajeeva Karaka ( https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/jkakr ) wont make much impact here. 

Now, the main course.

Another thing is that when Ascendant and Moon sign both point towards one event that event is more potential to happen. Again, the occurrence of event is based on chart + dasha + transit. Event should be 1st promised by the birth chart, then you should be under dasha which allows the event and then transits can bring the event. 

As we are looking at last step, it can’t be taken as final word on events to take place but we can get an indication where our focus will be in these 18 months as Rahu will make us gravitate towards things related to the house where it transits. 

Also, as Rahu is transiting in Saturnine sign Capricorn and converting itself into Saturn, these results can be very similar to Saturn in Aquarius transit with the flavour of Rahu (obsession, explosion and illusion). 

Aries Ascendant or Aries Moon sign – For Aries people, Rahu rules 11th house of Income & Gains. Rahu will be transiting in 10th house of Career, Status and Father. A transit which will be totally focused on Career and Work. They can be required to put extra effort and show perseverance at their work. There can be changes and challenges in matters of career or authority. They can have stress around authority figures, may it be at home or at office. As 10th house also relates with Father, this transit can keep them away from father or it can bring some health issues or other concerns to father. Their own public image can be at stake and they may need to work really hard to keep up with expectations of others. They can find themselves very hard working as results will be possible only then. Positively, Rahu transit in 10th house can help in enhancing the fame and recognition at work place but all of it may come through hardwork and perseverance. Again, it can also indicate some deception at work place. This also indicates issues with authorities and Govt. 

Taurus Ascendant or Taurus Moon sign – For Taurus people, Rahu rules 10th house of Career, Fame and Father. Rahu will be transiting in 9th house of Higher Learning, Gurus, Law, Religion & Philosophy. It can be a transit where person can be inclined towards his Higher Learning and Higher Education. They can also be focused on reading about Religions and Philosophies. They will be interested in taking far distant travels, more in nature of pilgrimages and meeting people of different cultures or educating themselves in matters of career. Person may find an old and strict Guru. Person will question his Teachers, various Religions and Philosophies. That may lead to stressful situations but it is still worth having such questions and stress as long as none is becoming fundamentalist. At the same time, 9th house is 12th from 10th house. So, it is also a house of loss of career and authority. It shows some stress around authority figures at work including some problems with father at home. Gemini Ascendant or Gemini Moon sign – For Gemini people, Rahu rules 9th house of Higher Learning, Gurus, Law, Religion & Philosophy. Rahu will be transiting in 8th house of Occult, Mysteries and Sudden Events. Here, person will be focused on higher learning of Occult, Mysticism and Hidden Sciences. As 9th house lord is going through 8th house, this may be a situation where due to a sudden event, person’s belief might change. A sudden event can also bring his Guru. Career and Life Path can be transformed/changed especially as Saturn is also transiting 10th house/Pisces. Father’s health may remain a concern. Person may take care while driving and travelling as 8th house relates to Accidents. Great time for higher studies of Occult, Stock Market and Surgeries or any research oriented subjects, in case person is interested in such fields. Leo Ascendant or Leo Moon sign – For Leo people, Rahu rules 7th house of Marriage, Spouse and Business. Rahu will be transiting in 6th house of Daily Work Routine, Disputes, Diseases and Obstacles. Their focus will move out of relationship and they will focus on dealing their daily work life. They may face some stress at their work or with people at work. It is not a good transit for relationship as they may have some disputes and conflicts coming up. Again, they need to accommodate as much as possible and it would be a good suggestion to maintain a long distance relationship for the time being. Certainly not a good time to start a new relationship. They also need to take good care of their health. Their focus would be dealing with diseases, disputes and obstacles. As Rahu rules 7th house of Spouse too, there can be some health issues to Spouse. Virgo Ascendant or Virgo Moon sign – For Virgo people, Rahu rules 6th house of Daily Work Routine, Disputes, Diseases and Obstacles. Rahu will be transiting in 5th house of Education, Romance and Creativity. When Rahu comes into 5th house of Romance & Education, either in birth chart or transit, person can be obsessed about these matters like Love, Romance, Creativity and Child Birth. But as it is in Saturnine sign here, results can be limited and may be received after hard work and perseverance. When Rahu is in Saturn sign into 5th house of Romance & Education, either in birth chart or transit, Romance takes a back seat & person will be more focussed on Education. So, this is a great time for educating yourself in your field of interests. It also shows someone taking debt/loan for education. It may even be loan for education of children. Those who have children can be focused on children. This time can bring relationship too but relation will be more an on/off type and will bring more stress than joy. It will be a cold romance. There can also be an illusion regarding love/romance matters. As Rahu also rules 6th house of Disputes, it shows disputes or obstacles keep coming in Love Matters. Libra Ascendant or Libra Moon sign – For Libra people, Rahu rules 5th house of Education, Romance and Creativity. Rahu will be transiting in 4th house of Home, Mother & Peace of Mind. This can be a period of gain of house property or any other real estate property as Rahu represents expansion but again, as Saturn is ruler here, gain of property can come after delay, hard work and perseverance. Focus will remain on Mother and Home. It can also show diseases or illness to Mother, in which case proper care should be taken. They would love to stay at home or with Mother but as Saturn represents long distances, it can send them away from mother, home or home land. Even if they are at home, it can bring some stress in home or with mother. They may lose interest in love matters or their children may go away from them as 4th house is 12thfrom 5th house. They can be more peaceful away from their home land. They can also focus on real estate based business. It also shows someone is getting interested in business and working from home.

Scorpio Ascendant or Scorpio Moon sign – For Scorpio people, Rahu rules 4th house of Home, Mother & Peace of Mind. Rahu will be transiting in 3rd house of Communication, Travels, Efforts, Actions and Business. This shows that they will be interested in collecting information and work hard on business, communication and counselling. They will travel far away from their home land. Their focus will turn away from Home to places away from home, so travelling will be frequent. They will start working on a possible business venture. They will focus on their own hobbies and skills. Things/Events related with younger siblings will also remain focus due to stress or illness to them. They can go away from their younger sibling. They need to be careful while travelling and driving as Saturn remains the most malefic planet. As 3rd house remains the house of efforts, this is a transit of putting best effort with perseverance then only any good result can be expected. Sagittarius Ascendant or Sagittarius Moon sign – For Sagittarius people, Rahu rules 3rd house of Communication, Travels, Efforts, Actions and Business. Rahu will be transiting in 2nd house of Wealth, Speech and Family. So, they will be focused on saving wealth and taking care of family matters. As Rahu rules 3rd house, it shows that wealth can come from their self efforts. They need to device new ways and work very hard in saving wealth. Actually, 2nd house of Wealth & 3rd house of Investments are interlinked for them, so they need to find out new investment ways to safeguard their wealth. Spendthrift nature must be avoided at any cost else they can even face lack of wealth during this transit. There can be stress in family setup, may be due to some illness. Overall, focus will be Family and Wealth. It also shows expansion of wealth through business or family business and hard work/perseverance. A possible expansion in family can also be seen here. As 2nd house is also related with speech, Rahu transiting there shows that care should be taken about what they speak or how they speak. 

Capricorn Ascendant or Capricorn Moon sign – For Capricorn people, Rahu rules 2nd house of Wealth, Speech and Family. So, they will be focused on wealth and family matters. Rahu will be transiting in 1st house of Self & Life Path. Nothing more to say then transformation in Life Path if you are on wrong life path. Focus will be lost from all areas of life and will be centred at Self. They would want to know why they are here in this world and what is their true life path. They would like to travel far and away from place of birth and it is a big possibility that by the time Rahu leaves Capricorn, they, their life, life path and career, all will be changed as they will find their true life path. A really good awakening transit for them. A time of new meaningful beginning in life.  At the same time, they need to take care of wealth and health related matters. They can be focused about finding and following their life path. Focus will be lost from all areas of life and will be centred at Self. As such, their focus will again revert back from relation to themselves. So, it can be a life changing transit for them. 

Aquarius Ascendant or Aquarius Moon sign – For Aquarius people, Rahu rules 1st house of Self & Life Path. Rahu will be transiting in 12th house of Foreign Lands, Spirituality, Losses and Closures. Whenever any major planet transits 12th house, it is closing time. So, understand like this. As 12th house is house of closures, this transit will see them working on all pending matters. Those which are supposed to be accomplished, will give results. Those which are not supposed to work-out will be considered as closed. Additionally, they will be highly interested in Spirituality. They will travel or relocate to Foreign Lands. At the same time, they need to take care of their health and wealth both as it is also house of hospitals and expenses. Rahu explodes things and in Saturnine sign in 12th house of expenses, if person is not wise enough then it can lead to huge expenses or losses for him. Good time to deal in to spiritual/mystical side of life and foreign travels etc. They may shift their Family to Foreign Lands.  

Pisces Ascendant or Pisces Moon sign – For Pisces people, Rahu rules 12th house of Foreign Lands, Spirituality, Losses and Closures. Rahu will be transiting in 11th house of Gains, Desires and Income. This will be a transit where they will be focused on making good gains and income as they may feel lack of resources. This will be a transit where they will be focused on making good gains and income as they may feel lack of resources due to Saturn’s lordship. They will be focused of their elder siblings, if any, due to some stress or illnesses. They will have to work hard so that they can earn and gain more in their ventures, as 11th house also relate with Entrepreneurship. There will be no easy gains. 11th house also relates with Large Organizations. They can also relocate to a new place as 11th house is 8th from 4th house, i.e. change in home. They need to be very practical and realistic in money matters else they can face lack of resources. Gains and R&R of 11th house can come only when person is putting best efforts over the longest period of time. With hard work and perseverance, their gains can expand. They can be all about serving humanity. A lesser evolved soul would like to expand his gains through deceptive ways and spreading illusions.
