Transit of Mars in Sagittarius, 2025

Mars is about to enter in Sagittarius for its next transit of about 45 days. This transit will take place from 7^th Dec, 2025 to 15^th Jan, 2026. So, here are some results we can expect during this transit –

a. Mars is in friendly sign in Sagittarius which is a good dignity for Mars. So, we can expect overall positive results from this transit.

b. Mars represents our actions and efforts. So now, our actions and efforts can go towards Sagittarius related things which are higher education, religion, philosophy, literature and sharing knowledge. So, people can be inclined towards putting their efforts in these things and act to get new knowledge.

c. At the same time, Mars is a fiery planet and Sagittarius is a fire sign. Sagittarius is sign of what we believe-in and Mars is our ability to fight. So, the most troublesome result of Mars in Sagittarius or any malefic planet in Sagittarius is that we see a rise in fundamentalism or rigid belief system. It is more so when another fiery planet Sun is also transiting in Sagittarius simultaneously. So, we can have lots of fire around especially in matters of belief system.

d. So, we need to learn how to be flexible and receptive towards others’ belief system. Then we can utilize this transit in a better way. We all can have parallel existence in this Universe.

e. In individual chart, we can also see the same action, fire and aggression in the things related with the house where Sagittarius falls in chart. Like, for Scorpions like me, action or aggression can be directed at family environment and speech but for Leo ascendants, action or aggression can be related with 5th house related matters like education, children and love/romance matters.

f. If Mars is transiting in Dushthana Houses or 4th house (no directional strength) in your chart then be careful against accidents, sudden events and injuries.

g. This transit can be well utilized in matters of higher education, knowledge gain, going for further education, religious/philosophical studies and more than that, by actively working on what we believe-in. It is easy to study about religious matters but Mars in Sagittarius is actually the transit of acting on what we believe-in.

So, this transit can again be utilized by humanity in 2 ways. People can invest their time, action and energy in getting some new knowledge and acting upon it or they can waste the same energy in fighting over what they believe-in.

Aspects-wise, Mars’ aspects will go to –

i. 4th aspect will go on Pisces sign where Saturn is transiting. Saturn-Mars combo can be stressful and frustrating due to their opposite nature; i.e. Mars being Quick and Saturn being Slow. As always, we have to bow down to Saturn eventually and persevere with our actions to get any good result of the house where Pisces falls into chart.

ii. As Aquarius Sign is anyways having a Maraka Impact due to Saturn-Ketu transits ( https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/MarakaImpactonAquariusSignduring2025and2026 ), this aspect of Mars on Saturn in Pisces sign, which is maraka house for Aquarius, is indicating rough time for the house related things or people in life wherever Aquarius sign falls in chart.

iii. Actually, next 6 months or so can be very challenging for Aquarius sign as it will be surrounded by malefics from all directions (Maraka Impact, Paap Kartari and transit of Mars through it) till Mars moves into Aries in May, 2026. Needless to say that next solar eclipse will also be in Aquarius sign in Feb, 2026. So, we need to be extra careful in matters, things or people related with house where Aquarius sign is falling in chart.

iv. 7th aspect will go on Gemini sign. As Gemini is sign of communication and travelling, we need to be careful in both areas and avoid aggressiveness here; i.e. aggressive communications or speedy driving etc. As Jupiter is transiting in Gemini, Jupiter-Mars energy exchange is clearly indicating the need to put efforts and actions in matters of belief system and education but at the same time, not to be rigid, fundamentalist or violent about the belief system.

v. 8th aspect will go on Cancer. This can bring instability in the matters of the house where Cancer falls in chart and people can become aggressive due to emotional triggers.

Last but certainly not the least, this transit will cause a huge impact on Sagittarius sign because at one time Sun-Mars-Mercury-Venus will be transiting Sagittarius and Jupiter-Saturn-Ketu will aspect Sagittarius. This means that at one time, 7 out of 9 planets will be impacting Sagittarius sign. Hence, wherever Sagittarius sign falls in chart, we need to be extra cautious there as major events may get triggered during this time. So, this is what I see as result of Mars in Sagittarius transit. End result is obviously dependent on overall chart, dasha and how a person utilizes the transit.
